The house has the last say
This website and the Cape House Network are operated by CAPE CULTURAL TOURS (PTY) LTD. The director decides who may appear on it. A place here is a permission. It is not a right, a partnership, a franchise, or a transfer of the software, the design, or the mark.
A company, hotel, tour guide or other house may apply. If the director accepts that application, a door is opened for the email that was accepted. Through that door the accepted house may write and change only its own page: its name, place, description, telephone, website and photograph. It cannot change tours, prices set by the company, other houses, or any other part of the site.
The company regulates everything that is published. It may correct, refuse, hide or remove any words, price, photograph or claim, whether or not that material was already shown to the public. It may close the door, so the house can no longer edit, or take the page off the site. The company may do so where the material is misleading, unfit for the house, or outside what was accepted. The director’s decision on what remains is final.
What an accepted house writes is that house’s own account of itself. It does not bind the company, and it does not make the company the seller of that house’s own goods. Where a guest books on this site, CAPE CULTURAL TOURS (PTY) LTD is the seller, on the booking terms.
Acceptance binds the house to the house fee. The house retains 11.5 percent of the amount actually received. That 11.5 percent is the house fee. The partner’s share is 88.5 percent, and it is due only after the booking is completed. A later change of rate does not rewrite a booking already recorded. The guest pays one advertised amount. PayFast Split Payments is not connected, so a recorded balance is not itself a payment. The house rules are on the house fee page.
Closing or removing a door ends the permission to edit and to be shown. It does not transfer any right in the site. Questions go to bookings@capeculturaltours.co.za.
How a house uses its key
Each accepted house has one key. The key is the email the director accepted. That email opens one door, and that door opens only that house’s own section.
- Apply from Apply to the House Network. Use the email the house will keep. A company, hotel, tour guide or other accepted house each applies on its own.
- Wait for the director. The director opens a door and binds it to that email. Opening the door is acceptance. From that moment the house is bound to the 11.5 percent house fee, as set out above. Until the door is opened, there is no key, and the house cannot add a section.
- Open https://capeculturaltours.co.za/door. Tap Continue with Google and choose the email the director accepted. That email is the key. A different inbox does not open the door.
- Tap Continue with Google and choose that same email. Do not use a different inbox. A different email is a different key, and it will not open this door.
- Write the section: the name, the place, a short account of the house, a telephone, a website, and one photograph. Tap Save my space. Come back the same way to change or add to those fields. Nothing else on the site can be changed from this door.
- Guests see the section on the House network only after the director sets the door to Open. Before that, the house may prepare the page, but it stays off the public site.
The director keeps every key. From the staff desk the director may change a section, set it to Open so guests can read it, or close the door and take the key away. One house cannot see or edit another house’s section.
